The Alberta Learning curriculum focuses on four strands: Number, Patterns & Relations, Shape & Space, and Statistics & Probability. Students will encounter the following mathematical processes: Communication, Connections, Mental Mathematics & Estimation, Problem Solving, Reasoning, Technology, and Visualization. The course is composed of twelve chapters, which are listed below:

Chapter 5 - Probability

Chapter 10 - Patterns and Expressions
Chapter 11 - Solving Equations
Chapter 12 - Working with Data
